The Noorland is a great place for hiking. During our excursions, we have discovered some beautiful hiking trails that we would like to share with you here.
The estate is located in the middle of a nature reserve – the Lower Saxony Elbe Valley. This impressive river landscape is home to unique flora and fauna. Accordingly, you will find many hiking trails here that invite you to explore this unique region. And, of course, the famous Lüneburg Heath is only about 40 minutes away.
We particularly recommend the circular trail in the neighboring Wendland region. In a network of hiking trails totaling 200 kilometers in length, you will find many great routes that lead through this picturesque section of the Elbe Valley. The towns of Hitzacker, Wietzetze, and Göhrde are stops on the circular route and only a few kilometers away from Bockelkathen. But you will also find attractive destinations in the immediate vicinity of the estate where there is much to discover on foot—in Lüdersburg, for example.
One of the region's most popular hiking trails is right on your doorstep. Simply follow the coastline and discover the Little Belt. Just a few kilometers away, you will come to the old port of Middelfart, Hindsgavl Castle, and the stunning Kolding Fjord. We particularly recommend the Hindsgavl Dyrehave Nature Park, which surrounds the campsite. Here, you can observe wildlife up close or take your children to the nature playground.
