noordwind camping galsklint (Galsklintvej 11 in 5500 Middelfart) sits at the westernmost tip of the Hindsgavl peninsula near Middelfart on Funen, right on the Little Belt (Lillebælt). The access road leads through the Hindsgavl Dyrehave deer park. The site has 236 pitches, almost all with sea views and mostly over 100 m², plus tent pitches, three cabin types and seasonal pitches. It has been in operation since the 1930s and is open all year from 1 November 2026.
Middelfart is 5 minutes away by car, Kolding 25 minutes and Odense 45 minutes. Whether for a short break, a family holiday or a longer stay: here you will find peace, nature and wide views across the water.

An exceptional campsite in the picturesque surroundings of the Little Belt: noordwind camping galsklint has been delighting guests since the 1930s. Enjoy spacious pitches – almost all with sea views – in a place that invites you to relax, unwind, and dream.
The campsite was established shortly after the inauguration of the old Lillebæltsbro bridge in the mid-1930s at the westernmost point of the Hindsgavl peninsula. The site took on its current form mainly during the tourism boom of the late 1960s.
From 1 November 2026, the site is open all year. Everything about pitches, cabins and prices in winter is on our winter camping page.
Unique Location
Between the Coast and the Nature Park
A key feature of noordwind camping galsklint is its unique location in the heart of nature. On one side is the coast of the Little Belt; on the other is Hindsgavl Dyrehave, with its meadows, forests, and free-roaming wildlife. Rarely are you this close to nature at a campground. For a swim, walk straight from your pitch to the beach: the bathing jetty gets you into the water easily, and you can launch a boat or kayak at the slipway. The drive through Hindsgavl Dyrehave—a nature experience right from the start.
Even the journey here is something special: the access road leads directly through Hindsgavl Dyrehave. With a little luck, you’ll spot fallow deer, red deer, and roe deer roaming freely in the park along the way—an unforgettable start to your camping vacation in Denmark.

Because digital check-in runs so smoothly, our reception is only staffed occasionally and has no fixed opening hours—instead, we’re there much more often where it counts: out on the grounds, right among you. No, the cold-water and grey-water connections at your pitch cost you nothing, neither the connection nor the usage. In winter, the water at the pitches is turned off because of frost; you can get water in the heated shower blocks.

Mobility
The drive to Galsklint is already the first little taste of vacation. After you exit the highway and head toward Middelfart, the route takes you through the beautiful Hindsgavl Dyrehave Nature Reserve. Here you’ll find ancient beech forests, vast meadows, and—with a little luck—wild deer—so please drive carefully. After all, the journey is the destination, and in this case, it’s especially beautiful: the road winds gently through the protected area—a true natural highlight, even before you arrive. At the campground, you’ll find parking directly on or in front of the grounds.
Absolutely! You can easily take the train to Middelfart Station. From there, a bus will take you close to the nature reserve, or you can switch to a taxi or rental bike for the last few kilometers. The trip also takes you along the peaceful paths of Hindsgavl Dyrehave—perfect for taking a deep breath even before you check in.
Of course! Every reserved campsite or cabin comes with a parking space for your car. Please note that the gates are closed between 10:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m., and you cannot drive onto the campground during that time. If you’d like to park briefly while checking in, please don’t just stop in front of the gate—instead, pull over along the edge of the forest so that other guests can still access the campground.
The maximum speed limit on the premises is 15 km/h. Please be especially mindful of children running around, particularly near the playground.
Organizational Matters
After you book a campsite or cabin online, we’ll send you your PIN code three days before your arrival. When you arrive, you don’t need to check in at the front desk—just use the PIN code at the gate and drive right into the campground.
On the day of arrival:
If you’ve booked a campsite, you can check in starting at 1:00 p.m. Guests staying in our cabins are welcome starting at 3:00 p.m. Due to necessary cleaning, we unfortunately cannot offer earlier check-in.
On the day of departure:
If you’re a camper with a reserved campsite, please leave the campground by 12:00 PM at the latest. Otherwise, only a manual checkout is possible, which incurs additional fees. Checkout for cabin guests is by 10:00 a.m. at the latest so that we can clean the cabin for the next guest.
You can use the PIN code to open gates and doors, for various usage-based services, and as a payment card in the service buildings. Your PIN code is private and must not be used to help others.
No, the electricity is turned on automatically when you arrive. Based on your usage, we’ll automatically generate an invoice for you on the day of your departure, which you can then pay using the usual payment methods. You can view your electricity usage at any time through our app.
The authorities require that a distance of at least 3 meters be maintained between units on all sides and a distance of 1.5 meters from the center of the hedge. We ask that you park your RV, trailer, or tent at a distance of at least 1.5 meters and no more than 2 meters from the side of the hedge. This will ensure that all our guests can enjoy the beautiful view.
Yes, we ask that you be especially considerate of other guests on the premises between 11:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m. The use of personal generators during this time is also not permitted without prior approval.

Facilities, Amenities, and Extras
Dogs are, of course, welcome at our campground! Please make sure to keep your pet on a short leash throughout the entire grounds. If you’d like to stay in one of our cabins, please let us know in advance, as not all cabins are designed for guests with dogs. Out of consideration for other guests, we ask that you walk your dog outside the campground. You’re welcome to wash your dog outdoors at the diver’s shower at any time. We ask that you keep your dog outside when in the common buildings.
Yes, you’ll need to bring your own bedding when staying in our accommodations. We are currently unable to provide bed linens or towels at our campground. In each cabin, depending on the number of beds, you’ll find comforters and pillows that you’ll need to cover with the bed linens you’ve brought.
Mattress sizes vary depending on the type of accommodation; here’s a brief overview:
- Komforthytter: two mattresses measuring 90 x 200 cm each, two mattresses measuring 140 x 200 cm each
- Standardhytter: two mattresses, each 90 x 200 cm, and one mattress measuring 140 cm x 200 cm
- Cykelhytter: two mattresses, each measuring 90 x 200 cm
No, smoking is not permitted in any of the buildings.
For hygiene reasons, you are not permitted to enter bathrooms, family rooms, or restrooms while wearing waders, wetsuits, etc. Please use our outdoor shower facilities, which are equipped with hot water.
Yes, there you'll find a small but fine selection of everyday items. The kiosk is open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Just help yourself and pay with your card at our self-checkout terminal.
In our shower rooms, you'll find showers where you can enter your PIN code to get 4 minutes of hot water. If you want to take a longer hot shower, you can simply enter your PIN code again. Please remember to turn off the cold water after use, as it doesn’t shut off automatically. From 1 November 2026, showers are included in the price.
Of course—you’ll find our trash containers near the restroom building. Please note that the containers are intended only for household trash. Broken camping furniture, electrical appliances, or fish scraps may not be disposed of here.
Are there common areas?
Yes, you’re welcome to use our games/TV room for free. In addition to a TV, you’ll find board games, card games, and books here. We’d love it if you’d like to add to our collection. We also have a large kitchen for cooking together, as well as an open, covered common area for cooking, sitting, eating, drinking, and much more.
