An exceptional campsite in the picturesque surroundings of the Little Belt: Galsklint Strand Camping has been delighting guests for more than 80 years. Enjoy spacious pitches – many with sea views – in a place that invites you to relax, unwind, and dream.
The campsite was established shortly after the inauguration of the old Lillebæltsbro bridge in the mid-1930s at the westernmost point of the Hindsgavl peninsula. The site took on its current form mainly during the tourism boom of the late 1960s.

between the coast and the nature park
A key feature of Galsklint Strand Camping is its unique location surrounded by nature. On one side is the coast of the Little Belt, and on the other is Hindsgavl Dyrehave with meadows, forests, and free-roaming wildlife. Rarely are you so close to nature at a campsite.
Arrival through Hindsgavl Dyrehave – a nature experience right from the start
Even the journey there is something special: the access road leads directly through Hindsgavl Dyrehave. With a little luck, you may encounter fallow deer, red deer, and roe deer roaming freely in the park on the way – an unforgettable start to your camping vacation in Denmark.

Have you forgotten something important at home? No problem, you can get everything you need for your daily needs in our shop on site. If you need to do some more extensive shopping, you will find practical camping equipment and shopping facilities here:
Biltema (15 minutes' drive), Harald Nyborg (15 minutes' drive), T. Hansen (5 minutes' drive), and IKEA (45 minutes' drive).
Mobility
The journey to Galsklint is the first little holiday moment. After leaving the highway and heading towards Middelfart, the route takes you through the beautiful Hindsgavl Dyrehave nature reserve. Here you will find old beech forests, wide meadows and, with a little luck, wild deer – so please drive carefully. The journey is the destination, and in this case, it is particularly beautiful: the road winds gently through the protected area – a real natural highlight even before you arrive. At the campsite, you will find parking spaces directly on or in front of the grounds.
Absolutely! You can easily take the train to Middelfart station. From there, a bus will take you close to the nature reserve, or you can switch to a taxi or rental bike for the last few kilometers. The journey also takes you through the quiet paths of Hindsgavl Dyrehave – perfect for taking a deep breath before you check in.
Of course! Every booked pitch or cabin comes with a parking space for your car. Please note that the barriers are closed between 10:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m. and it is not possible to drive onto the site during this time. If you want to park briefly when checking in, please do not just stop in front of the barrier, but park along the forest so that other guests can continue to access the site.
The maximum speed limit on the premises is 15 km/h. Please pay particular attention to children running around, especially in the playground area.
Organizational matters
After booking a pitch or cabin online, we will send you a code. When you arrive, you do not need to check in at reception; simply use the code at the barrier and drive straight into the campsite. On the day of departure, we ask you to vacate your cabin or pitch by 10:00 a.m. In the off-season, it is sufficient to vacate pitches by 11:00 a.m.
You can use the code to open barriers and doors, for various consumption-based services, and as a payment card in the service buildings. Your code is private and must not be used to help others.
No, the electricity will be turned on automatically when you arrive. You do not need to settle your bill at reception when you check out; your consumption will be billed automatically on the same day.
The authorities stipulate that a distance of at least 3 meters must be maintained between units on all sides and a distance of 1.5 meters to the center of the hedge. We kindly ask you to park your motorhome, caravan, or tent at least 1.5 meters and no more than 2 meters away from the hedge. This will ensure that all our guests can enjoy the beautiful view.
Yes, we kindly ask you to be considerate of other guests on the premises between 11:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m. The use of generators brought along is also not permitted during this time without prior consultation.
Of course, your guests are also our guests. We would just ask you to register your guests with us at reception when they arrive.

Furnishings, equipment & extras
Dogs are of course welcome at our campsite! Please make sure to keep your pet on a short leash throughout the entire grounds. If you would like to stay in one of our cabins, please let us know in advance, as not all cabins are suitable for dogs. Out of consideration for other guests, we ask that you walk your dog outside the campsite. Dogs can be washed outside in the diver's shower at any time. We kindly ask you to leave your dog outside the communal buildings.
No, smoking is not permitted in any of the buildings.
For reasons of cleanliness, access to bathrooms, family rooms, and toilets is not permitted with waders, diving suits, etc. Please use our outdoor shower rooms, which are equipped with hot water.
Yes, at our campsite you will find a small but excellent selection of everyday items. You can access these around the clock with your code and simply help yourself.
In our washrooms, you will find showers where you can enter your code to get warm water for 5 minutes. If you want to take a longer warm shower, simply enter your code again. Please remember to turn off the cold water after use, as this does not happen automatically.
Of course, you will find our waste containers near the sanitary building. Please note that the containers are only intended for your household waste. Broken camping furniture, electrical appliances, or fish waste may not be disposed of here.
