Welcome to Galsklint Strand Camping
Premium campground on Funen in southern Denmark
Welcome to Noordwind Camping Galsklint Strand Camping, your nature-oriented campsite in Denmark right on the Little Belt (Lillebælt).
Between the sea, coast, and forest, an extraordinary place for a relaxing vacation awaits you—quietly located, with fantastic views, yet centrally accessible. Whether for a short break, family vacation, or longer stay, here you will find relaxation, nature, and comfort in perfect balance.
An exceptional campsite in the picturesque surroundings of the Little Belt: Galsklint Strand Camping has been delighting guests for more than 80 years. Enjoy spacious pitches – many with sea views – in a place that invites you to relax, unwind, and dream.
The campsite was established shortly after the inauguration of the old Lillebæltsbro bridge in the mid-1930s at the westernmost point of the Hindsgavl peninsula. The site took on its current form mainly during the tourism boom of the late 1960s.

A key feature of Galsklint Strand Camping is its unique location surrounded by nature. On one side is the coast of the Little Belt, and on the other is Hindsgavl Dyrehave with meadows, forests, and free-roaming wildlife. Rarely are you so close to nature at a campsite.
Arrival through Hindsgavl Dyrehave – a nature experience right from the start
Even the journey there is something special: the access road leads directly through Hindsgavl Dyrehave. With a little luck, you may encounter fallow deer, red deer, and roe deer roaming freely in the park on the way – an unforgettable start to your camping vacation in Denmark.

It is free to use.
The drive to Galsklint is the first little taste of vacation. After you leave the highway and head toward Middelfart, the route takes you through the beautiful Hindsgavl Dyrehave Nature Reserve. Here you’ll find ancient beech forests, wide-open meadows, and—with a little luck—wild deer, so please drive carefully. After all, the journey is the destination, and in this case, it’s especially beautiful: the road winds gently through the protected area—a true natural highlight, even before you arrive. At the campground, you’ll find parking directly on or in front of the grounds.
Absolutely! You can easily take the train to Middelfart Station. From there, a bus will take you close to the nature reserve, or you can switch to a taxi or rental bike for the last few kilometers. The journey also takes you along the peaceful paths of Hindsgavl Dyrehave—the perfect way to take a deep breath before you even check in.
Of course! Every reserved campsite or cabin comes with a parking space for your car. Please note that the gates are closed between 10:00 PM and 7:00 AM, and you cannot drive onto the property during that time. If you need to park briefly while checking in, please do not stop right in front of the gate; instead, pull over along the edge of the forest so that other guests can still access the property.
The maximum speed limit on the premises is 15 km/h. Please be especially mindful of children running around, particularly near the playground.
After you book a campsite or cabin online, we’ll send you your personal access code three days before your arrival. When you arrive, you don’t need to check in at the front desk; instead, you can use the code at the gate and simply drive into the campground.
On the day of arrival: Campers with a reserved
campsite can check in starting at 1:00 PM. Guests staying in our cabins are welcome starting at 3:00 PM. Due to necessary cleaning, we unfortunately cannot offer earlier check-in.
On the day of departure:
As a camper with a reserved spot, please leave the campground by 12:00 PM at the latest. Otherwise, only a manual checkout is possible, which incurs additional costs. Checkout for guests in the cabins is by 10:00 AM at the latest so that we can clean the cabin for the next guest.
You can use the code to open gates and doors, for various usage-based services, and as a payment card in the service buildings. Your code is private and must not be used to help others.
No, the electricity is turned on automatically when you arrive. You don’t need to settle the bill at the front desk when you check out. You can simply top up your electricity usage through your wallet, and we’ll pay for it through that as well.
The authorities require that there be a minimum distance of 3 meters between units on all sides and a distance of 1.5 meters from the center of the hedge. We ask that you park your RV, trailer, or tent at least 1.5 meters and no more than 2 meters from the side of the hedge. This will ensure that all our guests can enjoy the beautiful view.
Yes, we ask that you be especially considerate of other guests on the premises between 11:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m. The use of personal generators during this time is also not permitted without prior approval.
Of course, your guests are our guests too. We just ask that you register your guests in your guest app when they arrive.
