Discover the country by bike!
Our vacation destinations are all unique, but they have one thing in common: they invite you to explore the surrounding nature on two wheels. To make your journey of discovery easier, we have mapped out a few routes for you. You can find our best recommendations here.

The Bockelkathen estate is located in the middle of the Elbtalaue nature reserve, which has many beautiful cycling routes. We particularly recommend the popular Elbe Cycle Route, which runs for over 1,300 km from Prague to Cuxhaven. A good starting point is the Lüneburg-Scharnebeck ship lift, which you can reach within 20 minutes. Follow a side canal northward and you will reach the Elbe after about 10 kilometers.
The Elbe Cycle Route is signposted throughout – you can recognize it by the signposts with the blue and white Elbe Cycle Route logos. The route has no major inclines and runs directly alongside the river in many sections. You will particularly enjoy the view of Lauenburg's old town on the opposite bank. And if you've left your bike at home, you can hire one from the Lüneburg bike storage facility.
The Danish Baltic Sea Cycle Route N8 runs right outside Galsklint. It takes you right across Lillebælt NaturePark. Just follow Galsklintvej until you reach Brovejen. Here you have to make a decision. If you turn right, you will reach Husby via Middelfart and Gamborg Fjord on the Svinø peninsula. If you turn left, the Lillebæltsbroen bridge will take you back to the Danish mainland. Here, the Baltic Sea Cycle Route takes you through Fredericia and Kolding to Christiansfeld.
The section of the cycle route along the Little Belt is characterized by the region's beautiful nature. Thanks to its ideal location along the route, the campsite is a good starting point for a day trip. Odense, the birthplace of Hans Christian Andersen, is also worth a visit, around 60 kilometers away.
